Nomination to Green Labeling Committee of the Hong Kong Green Building Council
HKIA is being invited by Hong Kong Green Building Council to nominate a representative to participate in its Green Labelling Committee as a Co-opted Member for the new term expiring on 31 December 2013.

The Green Labelling Committee is one of the four programmatic standing committees that steers the initiatives of HKGBC, with each committee comprising members drawn from HKGBC Directors, and representatives from Founding Members and Institutional Members. The terms of reference of GLC is to define and steer the strategic development, policies, processes, advocacy and promotion of BEAM Plus including :

a)     issuance of the Certificates of BEAM Plus for project assessments;

b)     arrangements for BEAM practitioners (BEAM Assessor, BEAM Pro, BEAM Associate, etc.) through training, examination and accreditation; and

c)     continuous development of the BEAM Plus assessment standards, and refinement of BEAM Plus assessment methodologies and performance benchmarks.

The above nomination is open to all members for registering interests for being nominated to the Committee. The HKIA nominee should possess the qualification of BEAM Pro. Members are advised to read the enclosed HKIA guidelines on “Nominating Members to External Government / Advisory and Statutory Bodies”. Appointed HKIA nominees shall provide written reports and simple summary statements to the Institute after each meeting and/ or from time to time for Board’s information and distribution to general members where appropriate.
