HKIA Annual Awards 2021 - Call for nominations (deadline: 14 January 2022, 17:30)

Dear Members,

On behalf of the Institute, we cordially invite your submission to the HKIA Annual Awards 2021.

This year’s Annual Awards commenced with a 6-month postponement during which, the Committee conducted a full review on all award categories, with an aim to provide a clearer and more integrated submission system for our members. The following categories were redefined to embrace the recent trends and expanding agenda of architecture within our community today.

-   Urban Design & Master Planning
-   Heritage and Adaptive Re-use
-   Humanity & Social Inclusion”
-   Technology or Innovative Architecture
-   Curation & Exhibition Design

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are used to the “abnormal normal life”.  Same as last year, we are prepared to conduct the Annual Awards 2021 under the pandemic, i.e. travel restrictions, crowd avoidance, reduced physical contacts.  Such limitations are definitely a challenge to the Orgnanizing Committee for organizing the judging process, the Awards Ceremony and the exhibition. Yet, we will try our best to convey the whole award in high-quality and professionally, showcasing the best works done by our members.

Last but not least, we wish to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the 5-member jury panel for their contribution to the Annual Awards 2021.  Their participation is crucial for upkeeping the standard of the HKIA Annual Awards.
