This is to announce that the deadline for Registration is now extended for a week, and the extended deadline is 23:59:59, 13 January 2023 (Friday) (Hong Kong time).
All other terms and conditions of the Competition remain unchanged.

Competition Details:
 
The captioned Design Competition, organised by Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) and coorganised by Architectural Services Department (ArchSD), invites contribution of design ideas for the reconstruction of the public toilet and refreshment kiosk (“the toilet and refreshment kiosk”) within Aberdeen Country Park P.H.A.B. Barbecue Site for implementation, reference, or adoption by the Government to make enhancement to the toilet and refreshment kiosk.
Aberdeen Country Park P.H.A.B. Barbecue Site is a very popular site and the only country park recreation site on Hong Kong Island with barbecue/ picnic area for persons with a disability to explore the countryside and enjoy natural scenery.  AFCD has planned to reconstruct the public toilet and refreshment kiosk at this Site to make enhancement.  A well-equipped, easily accessible and strategically located toilet is essential in serving country parks visitors and keeping environmental hygiene in the countryside. Coupled with environmental-friendly design and energy saving technologies, it helps to enhance the quality of services and offer a more enjoyable experience to country parks visitors and provide better support to the persons with a disability and embrace social inclusion.
Entry Requirements:
Interested HKIA full Members and registered architects registered under Architects Registration Ordinance (Cap. 408) are cordially invited to participate in the Design Competition as individual Participant or Team Leader of collaborative / group Entry.  Other HKIA members who are not full Members, architectural designers, and architectural students are welcome to team up with the said Team Leader for participation in the Design Competition.

Registration for participation in the Design Competition has commenced till 6 January 2023.
