The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD) is pleased to announce the hosting of its 7th International Conference with the theme "New Urban Mobility - Healthy Change for the High-Density City”. The Conference forms the focus of an ongoing series of research workshops, webinars, seminars, and publications culminating in Urban Design Week from 13th-18th November 2023, during which the Institute aims to promote urban design through technical, professional, and academic dialogue in knowledge sharing and information dissemination.
The Conference is scheduled for Friday, 17th November 2023 with a target of 400 in-venue participants. Previous opening speeches have been given by the Hon. Carrie LAM CHENG Yuet-ngor, GBM, GBS, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; the Hon. Bernard CHAN, GBS, JP, Convenor, Non-official Members of the Executive Council, HKSAR Government; and Paul CHAN Mo-po, MH, JP, then Secretary for Development, HKSAR Government.
