[Video Recording Recap]CPD Seminar: HK Electric’s Smart Power Services - Partnering in Forging Ahead with Carbon Neutrality

Synopsis

To respond to the Paris Agreement, China is committed to achieving peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060. As an international city of China, Hong Kong pledged in 2020 to achieve carbon neutrality before 2050.  The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government issued the “Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050” in October 2021, laying down the overall strategies, plans, targets and actions for Hong Kong to achieve the carbon neutrality target.

As a key stakeholder in combating climate change, HK Electric has been rendering full support to the HKSAR Government and community in turning Hong Kong into a smart zero-carbon caring city.  This seminar will cover the decarbonisation means suiting Hong Kong’s unique compact vertical built environment. It will also cover HK Electric’s “Smart Power Services”, a suite of subsidy and service schemes, that is tailored to facilitate partnership with stakeholders and community in forging ahead with carbon neutrality.
