Following Hong Kong’s participation in the 13th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition co-organized by HKIA and Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Opening of the Hong Kong Response Exhibition of ‘Inter Cities/Intra Cities: Ghostwriting The Future’ - 'I AM HOME' was held at the Energizing East Kowloon Flyover1 site on 18 May 2013.
Mr. Paul Chan, Secretary for Development, was the Guest of Honour to officially lift the curtain of the Hong Kong Response Exhibition in the witness of more than 100 guests on-the-spot.
A forum was held right after the Opening Ceremony to discuss the issue of diversity and compatibility in “The Future of Kowloon East”, which was co-chaired by Ms. Ada Wong (Founder & Hon Chief Executive of Hong Kong Institute of Contemporary Culture) and Professor Bernard Lim (Chairman of Steering Committee of the 13th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition Hong Kong Exhibition) was well attended by around 70 participants.
“Build a Bench for Kowloon East” International Design Competition
At the ceremony, the result of “Build a Bench for Kowloon East” International Design Competition” was announced. The winning teams were selected out of more than 120 architects, designers and even students all over the world.
