In order to embrace the latest government standards and integrate the best project practices, BEAM Society Limited has taken the initiative to revamp the existing BEAM Plus Interiors (BI) manual. The ultimate goal is to make the new tool, BI v2.0, more adaptable, simplified, certain and human-centric.
Among the family of BEAM Plus assessment tools, BI is specifically designed for the certification of interior fit-out projects. It is a performance-based assessment to recognise the effort paid by the occupants/ users, building management companies, interior designers and contractors in contributing the promotion of green interiors, including investment in fit-out works, implementation of management practices, achievable performance and continual improvement.

Ir C. F. LEUNG
Ir C F Leung is currently the Director – Operations of Business Environment Council Limited. CF has been spearheading the development of sustainable buildings by leading and providing advisory services on a large number of green building initiatives and delivering training to building professionals. He also works on waste related projects by providing waste management and audit services for building sector and community events. Besides, he also involves in formulating and executing of several renowned environmental award programmes, including Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, HSBC Living Business Awards and BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards.
CF is an environmental engineer with over 20 years of experience. He is currently a Registered Professional Engineer, a Registered Energy Assessor, a Certified Carbon Auditor Professional, a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist, a BEAM Professional, a Green Building Faculty Member and a WELL AP.
Ir C.S. HO
Ir C. S. Ho is a practicing engineer as well as a lawyer. He graduated with BSc (Engineering) from HKU, then earned an MBA, a Post-graduate Diploma in Software Engineering, and PCLL from HKU; and LLB from Manchester Metropolitan University of UK.
He is currently the General Manager of BEAM Society Ltd, the Chairman of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, a Barrister-at-law at the High Court of Hong Kong, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of the University of Hong Kong, teaching engineering and legal subjects at both the graduate and post-graduate levels.
Before joining the legal profession, Ir C. S. Ho had been working with Hong Kong Housing Authority as the Chief Building Services Engineer, heading the Building Services Section responsible for the design and construction of BS installations of all the new public housing development projects. Ir Ho is a Chartered Engineer, a fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and a Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). He had also served as a committee member of the Electrical Division and the Building Services Discipline Advisory Panel of HKIE apart other community services.
