Council Election for 2025-2026: Call for Nomination
Announcement
The Council Election for 2025-2026 is open for nomination and its results will be announced at the Third Quarterly General Meeting scheduled for 19 September 2024. I hereby invite your nomination of HKIA Members to the 15 vacant posts of Council, as listed below, whose terms of office shall start on 1 January 2025 and end on 31 December 2026.

- President (1 vacancy)
- Vice President (2 vacancies)
- Honorary Secretary (1 vacancy)
- Honorary Treasurer (1 vacancy)
- Ordinary Member of the Council (10 vacancies)
 
According to Rule 33 of the Institute "Any two or more Members may nominate candidates for the offices of President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and for ordinary Membership of the Council". To ensure that the nomination is in compliance with The Rules of the Institute and valid, please make sure that the Nomination Form is signed by at least two nominators and fulfills all requirements set out in The Rules of the Institute.
The Nomination Form can be downloaded here (DOC / PDF). The duly completed and signed Nomination Form (both hard and soft copies) together with a passport size photo* of the nominee must be delivered to Mr. Watson CHAN, Chief Operating Officer, on or before 19 July 2024, Friday, 12:00noon by hand at HKIA Premises, 19/F, One Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. (*soft copy of the Form and nominee photo could be submitted by email to councilelection@hkia.net). Submission of Nomination Form by fax or by email only would not be accepted. Please note that each Form will be applicable for one nomination only and late submission after the deadline will not be processed.
A tentative election schedule & a list of vacant posts are appended on the second page of this circular for your reference.
