Introduction:

A 2.5 hours Guided Tour (10:00-12:30PM, 15 June 2024) entitled: "Where the heart lies - The Henderson“ is organized by Henderson Land Development Co. Ltd. for members of two local institutes, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects and the Greater Bay Area Urban Planning and Architecture Council (Hong Kong) to walk the building and hear from the Designer and The Henderson Project Team on the 'making' (architecture, form-making, urban design) and ''eco-low carbon' (sustainable and ultra low energy design).

The Henderson is set to become a world-class sustainable, livable and smart workplace for the future, and a new architectural landmark of Hong Kong, “an icon amongst icons”. Located at Murray Road, Central, the new super Grade-A office tower is a showcase that embraces 5 design pillars: Resilience, Health, Green and Smartness, together with high quality Hospitality services for the tenants and their individual staff and visitors.

Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, The Henderson comprises 36 floors above ground with approximately 465,000 sq. ft. GFA. With an emphasis on integrating the built environment with nature, the Tower creates an urban oasis in the CBD, promoting access to green spaces and improving local air quality. Through passive designs and innovative features, The Henderson have already achieved “8 Platinum” in green, smart and healthy accreditations, with full scores in SmartScore and China Smart Building.  Henderson Land's commitment to sustainability is evident through the adoption of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a guiding framework for design and implementation.
