Station Square aims to explore and maximize the potential of a public square through transforming an ordinary urban open space to a tangible leisure and social hub that allows visitors and locals to promenade, meet and interact. With the sheer size of 12 hectares, Station Square stands as the biggest urban square in Hong Kong. It is strategically located at the heart of Kai Tak area, acting as a urban spine connecting its vibrant mix of urban context, including residential buildings, commercial towers, historical monuments, Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP), etc. It functions as a key connector, especially its axial links from the MTR station to KTSP and new living quarters, as well as forming part of the GreenWay, a network of share-use pavement for pedestrians and cyclists fostering a bicycle-friendly environment.
