Located on the urban fringe of Haug Hau in Tseung Kwan O, this 0.4 hectare site formerly a depot of Highways Department has been thoughtfully transformed into a vibrant, close-knit community for approximately 600 families.
The project comprises a 38-storey residential tower atop a podium, which includes parking spaces, a neighborhood elderly centre and an all-season podium garden overlooking a preserved Fung Shui tree. The design responds sensitively to the cultural and environmental values of the surrounding villages.
By breaking down the massing into distinct building blocks including residential portion, welfare facilities, indoor and open carparks with curved staircases—the design respects the elongated site and intimate scale of village houses.
A refined architectural expression is achieved through modern façade articulation that employs a textured material palette. The carefully curated colour scheme enhances spatial quality and natural lighting while ensuring cohesion and harmonious dialogue with surrounding natural landscape.
