Located in Hangzhou City, Yohoo Lake, the Yohoo Museum reimagines Hangzhou's cultural identity through a double-ring structure inspired by ancient jade rituals. The two interlocking rings embodied the artistic fusion of the ancient Liangzhu civilisation and the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal. The building's steel frame creates a floating illusion that seems to defy gravity, creating interactive spaces for public enrichment. The aim is to create a vibrant public realm for the local community, offering leisure spaces, panoramic lake views, and social hubs.
The building is enclosed in translucent "emerald glass", blending crystal-like transparency with jade's warmth. Parametric modelling ensured efficient construction and circular courtyards symbolised connections between heaven and earth. Featured on RedNote, its undulating roof has become a civic symbol, celebrating Liangzhu heritage and modern urban life.
