Columbia Circle Phase II is an urban renewal project that skilfully combines historical architecture with modern design. Situated in Shanghai, it builds on the original Columbia Circle, merging five new multi-storey buildings with preserved 1920s structures. The project features an organic open layout with connecting streets, courtyards, and plazas, creating a vibrant community space. It includes commercial areas on the first two floors, offices on upper levels, and spaces for cultural and sporting activities. Extensive green spaces, rooftop gardens, and outdoor dining areas enhance the relaxing atmosphere. The design uses natural materials and industrial aesthetics to restore the charm of the original architecture while incorporating modern elements. This project not only preserves Shanghai’s historical and cultural heritage but also creates a multifunctional "ideal place" for community living, fostering a deeper connection among residents.
