Public Housing Development at Queen’s Hill is located in the rural area of Hong Kong at Fanling. The 13.65-hectare site used to be part of the abandoned barracks and lack of basic infrastructures. Hong Kong Housing Authority regenerates it to a vibrant and sustainable community for over 12000 families.
The development is composed of thirteen high-rise residential towers and non-domestic podiums with comprehensive ancillary facilities to cater daily needs of residents, including a shopping center, a wet market, a public transport terminus (PTT), a community hall, six welfare facilities, three kindergartens, car parks and recreational facilities.
The project is highly distinguished by its inclusive community design, remarkable tree preservation works, extensive provision and rich variety of greening, sustainable and responsive architecture, heritage conservation works with deeply embedded footprint of local history and culture, which were achieved through interactive engagement with the public, and smart utilization of technologies and innovations.
