This transformative project involves the comprehensive conversion and strategic upgrade of an existing 6W office building into a state-of-the-art wet laboratory facility specializing in biomedical and healthcare technologies. Designed with an innovative identity, the space prioritizes functional flexibility to accommodate diverse tenant needs, including:
a.) WHO-standard BSL2 (Biosafety Level 2) laboratories with rigorous bio containment protocols;
b.) Multipurpose zones configured for bio-communal workshops and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant production facilities;
c.) Collaborative shared spaces fostering interdisciplinary exchange.
A paramount challenge was overcoming inherent site constraints while systematically enhancing the building's Fire Resistance Rating (FRR) to exceed contemporary statutory benchmarks - particularly in fire safety compliance - without compromising the architectural integrity or operational efficiency of this mission-critical environment.
