"Weaving Love", nestled in the wedding garden of the Tseung Kwan O Immigration Headquarters, is the first large-scale 3D metal printed pavilion in Asia. Advanced technology, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), was adopted in this project, merging technology and art to create an intimate, cozy, and romantic environment for newlyweds and their guests.
The use of this innovative technology allowed thecomplex and fluid design to be realized. Traditionally, cold, rigid, and industrial materials were transformed into an artistic and organic piece of architecture.
In addition to the creation of a unique spatial experience, the project also successfully reduced over 80% of material waste, 70% of the time, and 50% of the cost required compared to conventional construction methods.
