The Jury recognises Mr.Hung as an all-rounded young architect who demonstrates his passion in design, social participation and professional development.
The jury recognises Mr.Hung as a prolific young professional with his works grounded in the community. His commitment in both architectural practice and academic fields have bridged theories into practical interventions and exemplified the vital role of design praxis. With his design proposal strategically approaching the waterfront through “land-sea swap”, it creates edges and niches where the public interacts with the harbour while demonstrates sensitivity to the harbour environment. Awareness of the local context and community is also evident through the inclusion of the Cantonese opera theatre that used to be integral to the neighbourhood.
The Jury Panel believes that Mr.Hung could benefit from his study tour and share his insights with the profession and the general public.
