Hong Chi Association has been providing services for people with intellectual disabilities (PID) at Pinehill Village since the 1960s. The Hong Chi Jockey Club Pinehill Rehabilitation Complex, developed over a decade, harmonizes with nature and maximizes natural light and ventilation for energy efficiency. The design includes multiple parts: a barrier-free entrance, a Training Hotel for PID with conference hall and swimming pool, a Social Service Complex with hostels and vocational training workshops, and a Preschool and Children Service Complex. The design prioritizes healthy living environments with 'Light & Air' features, promoting energy savings through optimized natural lighting and ventilation. The architecture incorporates PID's artistic works, creating a nurturing, joyful environment.
