The Hubei Provincial Archives is an important archive storage base, provincial-level demonstration base for patriotic education, archive utilization service center, government information disclosure center, and electronic file management center in Hubei Province. It is a "national first-class archive". There are 1.2 million volumes of various archival materials preserved from the seventh year of the Tianqi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1627) to the present day. The collection includes three items: "Han Yeping Company Archives", "Jianghan Customs Taxation Department Archives", and "Xinhai Revolution Archives", which are included in the "Chinese Archives and Literature Heritage List".
