Join our Seminar on Urban Renewal and Heritage Conservation to explore how architects in Hong Kong are redefining their role in conserving and adaptively reusing our architectural heritage amid constant development and redevelopment. This seminar will feature Ar. Lawrence Mak, Director of Planning & Design at the Urban Renewal Authority, who has led major master planning and adaptive reuse projects including 7 Mallory Street and Central Market, and Ar. Edward Leung, Director at Aedas Ltd., recognised for award-winning heritage conversions.
In this seminar, we’ll explore key design approaches for conservation and adaptive reuse, how architects engage with management, policy, and professional progression, the challenges and opportunities shaping Hong Kong’s heritage future, and how we can drive sustainable renewal without losing identity.
