This seminar introduces BEAM Plus F&B Version 1.0, a new sustainability assessment tool for the food and beverage sector, jointly developed by BEAM Society Limited (BSL) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC). With the industry generating over 30% of Hong Kong’s municipal solid waste, the tool assesses seven key categories: Integrated Design & Construction Management, Operation Management, Materials and Waste, Energy Use, Water Use, Health and Wellbeing, and Innovation Initiatives. Certification offers four progressive ratings – Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
The seminar will introduce the BEAM Plus F&B framework and its key assessment criteria, followed by pilot project case studies demonstrating practical applications of the tool and how certification, cost reduction and carbon neutrality can be pursued in real F&B projects.
