“Our Favourite Hong Kong City Public Space”
In honor of International Women's Day 2025, around 80 participants took part in a tour and sharing initiative titled “Our Favourite Hong Kong City Public Space.” This event was co-organized by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), the American Institute of Architects Hong Kong Chapter (AIA Hong Kong), and the Royal Institute of British Architects Hong Kong Chapter (RIBA Hong Kong).
Participants were invited to share their most cherished public spaces across the city, highlighting the diverse and inspiring environments that shape Hong Kong's urban landscape. The initiative provided an opportunity to explore selected locations and celebrate the unique perspectives of architects regarding the value of public spaces in Hong Kong.
This collaborative effort not only emphasized the importance of these spaces in fostering community and connection but also recognized the role of architects in enhancing the urban experience, particularly in the context of celebrating women’s contributions to the architectural field and public life.
