The Construction Industry Security of Payment Ordinance will be implemented by the end of August, prompting a revision of the Standard Form Building Contract (SFBC), which includes a main contract, nominated sub-contract, and nominated supply contract. To support this update, the HKIS, HKIA, and HKICM have formed a Working Group that has hired the law firm Pinsent Masons for assistance.

On behalf of the Working Group, HKIS is inviting our members to participate in an upcoming public consultation session on the proposed amendments. This consultation forms part of their commitment to ensuring that the revised SFBC reflects the practical needs and insights of key industry stakeholders.
