Introduction
Our earth is facing climate challenges more seriously. It can be reflected by record-breaking temperatures, rising sea levels to increasingly intense typhoons and extreme rainfall events and more. These challenges pose significant risks to our infrastructure, public safety, and long-term sustainability for all. In Hong Kong, we had our Climate Action Plan 2050 in 2021 for the roadmap on Carbon Neutrality.
HKIA Climate Change and Sustainability Forum 2025 provides a timely platform to exchange insights on resilience strategies and collaborative actions that drive Hong Kong towards a sustainable and climate-ready future.
This year, we are delighted to have Climate Change Commissioner Mr. Arthur Lee to join our forum and share with us the latest action on combating climate change. The Director of Drainage Services Department will also join us to share the Integrated Flood Management Strategy — a comprehensive and multi-pronged approach that combines adaptation, resilience, and management to re-shape Hong Kong into a resilient city. For details, please see the attachment.
Welcome to join us in person or online!
