[For Your Interest] Submit Research Proposal - Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board
Date: 06 March 2026

Dear Members,

Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board would like to invite HKIA members to submit research proposals related to Pneumoconiosis and/or Mesothelioma.

The Board set up a research fund in 1987 to support projects related to the prevention, diagnosis, assessment of disability, treatment and rehabilitation of Pneumoconiosis and/or Mesothelioma in Hong Kong. There are two application periods during the year, and the current submission period runs from 23 February 2026 to 23 March 2026.

In general, research proposals related to Pneumoconiosis and/or Mesothelioma will be considered. All submissions will be reviewed by our Research Committee, which will make recommendations to the Board for final approval. In determining whether to fund a project, the Committee will assess its originality and practicality, the justification for the requested budget, the reliability of the proposed methodology, and the significance and applicability of the project to patients with Pneumoconiosis and/or Mesothelioma and to workers in the construction industry. For details, please visit Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board website: www.pcfb.org.hk/news.php.

If you interested to submit the proposal, please contact Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board Mr. Chung at 3578 8102.

Deadline: on or before 12:00 noon, 23 March 2026 (Monday). Late applications will not be accepted.
