Zhengguo Town is located in the northeastern part of Zengcheng District, Guangzhou. It originated from Zhengguo Old Market (now Zhengguo Old Street) and is named after Zhengguo Temple. With a history of over 1800 years, it is renowned as the "Millennium Ancient Town, Marvelous Zhengguo ". The project is situated in the old township of Zhengguo Town, where issues such as inefficient use of public spaces, poor quality of public environment, inadequate public service facilities, and safety hazards in some public housing existed before renovation. There is strong community desire for improvement. In 2016, it was designated as a key urban renewal project in Guangzhou City.
