Overview:

Corruption in the construction industry resulting in substandard works could pose serious threats to public safety and undermine public confidence in the quality of public works projects.  To address the associated integrity risks, the ICAC has developed an overarching framework (known as the Project Integrity Navigator (PIN)).  PIN aims to assist stakeholders in effectively managing corruption and other integrity risks during project implementation, while supporting the time, cost, quality objectives at the same time.  With architects playing key roles among various stakeholders (e.g. clients, consultants), the ICAC speaker will introduce PIN and its key components, and explain how architects are involved in its implementation.

The workshop aims to:

•Facilitate participants to understand the integrity risks in management of works projects; and
•Provide them with the latest information about the development of PIN which serves as an overarching framework to enhance integrity management in public works projects

Contents of the workshop:

•ICAC’s role in safeguarding integrity of public works projects
•Common integrity risks in procurement and construction stages of public works projects
•Introduction of PIN (including its structure and key components)
