HKIA Council Election 2026-2027 - Clarification on Ballot Papers

Dear Members,
We are writing to inform you about an important matter regarding the election ballot papers that were recently distributed. It has come to our attention that voting instruction appeared in the Fastpost Return Envelope is inconsistent with the ballot paper’s instruction.
We understand that this may have caused confusion among our members regarding how to properly cast your votes. To ensure fairness and transparency in our election process, we want to clarify that both sets of instructions indicated from the Ballot Paper and the Fastpost Return Envelope will be considered valid.
To make it clear, the following instructions are both valid:
- from Ballot Paper – to fill in the oval in the designated area
- from Fastpost Return Envelope – to mark “X” within the respective box on the Ballot Paper
Therefore, members may choose to follow either set of instructions when submitting their ballots. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this situation.
